Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said teams had been sent to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, states that have come under fire during the Iran war.

Israeli and US actions against Iran, including strikes on key facilities such as Kharg Island, which hosts a large portion of Iran’s oil exports, have widened the confrontation.

The Gulf is not growing warm toward Israel; it is becoming more specific in the way it discusses Israel. In this region, word choice is often the first sign that strategy is moving.

The Gulf monarchies built modern states on a promise of order, growth, and security. Iran has attacked all three. They now face a test of seriousness.

Dr. Najah Al-Otaibi, a Saudi researcher specializing in international relations and the Gulf region, told The Jerusalem Post that Iran’s attacks constitute “a betrayal of the diplomatic detente.”

Iran has sought to escalate incrementally against Gulf countries over the course of the three-week war.

Saudi FM says his country reserves the right to act militarily against Iran and any trust with Tehran has been shattered.

"Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility...in Iran," Trump wrote on Truth Social. 

Both political and non-political responses are possible, threatened Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan amidst increasing Iranian missile strikes across the region.

Later, after Iran threatened Gulf states with retaliatory strikes, Qatar and Saudi Arabia reportedly intercepted multiple incoming missile barrages targeting oil and industrial sites.
