Drivers of vehicles blocked by the protest exited their vehicles and confronted protesters, video footage from the scene seen by The Jerusalem Post appeared to show.

Haredi protestors from the "Black Color" hotline rushed to intervene following a day of protests. The matter was referred to the military police.

A released video from the parade shows a woman wearing a pride-themed shirt reading "FCK BNGVR" and arguing with police officers.

As the event began, police announced that they had averted a planned attack against the LGBT community, arresting a 37-year-old suspect in Haifa.

Israel Police announced that over 1,000 police officers, undercover and Border Police officers, and volunteers will be deployed throughout the event to ensure the safety of all participants.
