Democrats have criticized Republicans for pushing for a $95 billion defense budget while failing to address soaring prices for gasoline, food, and other goods that voters say are their top issues.

The House voted 314 to 104 to defeat the measure, offered as an amendment to a State Department spending bill by Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

Clayton said only that Biden had been "certified" as president, while also insisting, "I am not an election denier."

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly called for an end to the twice-yearly clock changes and strongly supports the measure.

Now, as AIPAC has rapidly transformed into a radioactive bogeyman among Democrats and Bush’s fellow progressives have mounted an ascent across the party, Bush is out for revenge.

“Trump is transactional, always looking for where the money is. He's a businessman; he admits it, and he's not ashamed of it; he's proud of it. The Gulf States understood that from the beginning."

Graham, one of Trump's closest allies in the Senate, died over the weekend after a brief illness.

Graham died Saturday, aged 71, following what his office described as a “brief and sudden illness.” His office did not immediately disclose an official cause of death.  

"As much as it frustrates me, this process takes time... And on the advice of my doctors, I won’t be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet," said US Senator Mitch McConnell.

With Graham dead, McConnell still in the hospital, and midterms approaching, it looks like the Republicans' supermajority in Congress could shift.
