Amit Soussana was honored by First Lady Melania Trump at the US State Department's 19th annual International Women of Courage Awards along with seven other women.

Sossana is one of eight women from around the world to receive the award, which recognizes exceptional women who advocate for peace, justice, and human rights.

Melania Trump asserted there's "no room for compromise" on women's rights to "individual freedom," conflicting with her husband’s abortion stance.

The site had gone dark for weeks early last year after major service providers cut it off for failing to police violent content that led to the attack on the US Capitol on Jan. 6.

Trump has made his club in Palm Beach, Florida, his home since leaving the White House on Jan. 20. But Mar-a-Lago typically closes in May for the summer.
