Administrative detention numbers have surged in Israel, now three times higher than during the Second Intifada, reports HaMoked.

Mark van Rennes from The Netherlands, Suayb Ordu from Turkey, Yasemin Acar from Germany, Thiago Avila from Brazil, Reva Viard from France, and Rima Hassan from France, will all be deported.

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg chose deportation and has flown out to Sweden, along with three other demonstrators.

"We took into account her severe mental state, which led to her being assigned a medical profile 21 [disqualifying her from military service]," the court ruling said.

He alleged that the interrogations often involved physical and verbal abuse including hot water being poured on him, or being told that his family had been killed. 

"If Israeli society is forgiving about what happened, it will come back like a boomerang," ARCCI head Orit Sulitzeanu said, raising concerns about the Sde Teiman investigation.

Protesters disrupted a High Court hearing on the Sde Teiman detention center amid allegations of detainee abuse and calls for closure.

There is a growing population in our country who believe the law does not apply to them and that they can harm others. The state must make it clear that no one is above the law.

Police are upset with the IDF for not properly communicating about Monday’s riots at Sde Teiman base, leading to inadequate preparation and a delayed response.
