Health Ministry updates list of red, orange and yellow countries • 40% of new daily COVID cases are Arabs

The ministry website says it's OK to fly to Iran and Syria, despite the decades-long flight ban to enemy countries.

The Health Ministry released the status of the countries to which Israelis could fly, ranking them red (banned), orange (requiring between seven and 14 days of isolation) or yellow. 

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention placed Israel at Level 4, the highest for COVID risk.

Travelers are angry that Israel had adopted stricter laws than other countries, Ziontours Jerusalem CEO Mark Feldman told the 'Post'.

Beginning next Wednesday, travelers from some 18 additional countries will be required to quarantine even if they are fully vaccinated.

I wonder if Israel can seize this opportunity to regain our respect and admiration once again, to fly to South Africa and to airlift our brothers and sisters home.

The proclamation said India "accounts for over one-third of new global cases" and added that "proactive measures are required to protect the nation's public health from travelers entering from India"
