The October 7 Massacre

Bereaved families, victims of the October 7 attacks, and parents of former hostages attended the panel.

The judge said the defendants’ actions represented a “particularly grave moral failure,” adding that they had shown a “crude trampling of the most basic elements of human compassion.”

The three textbooks and one middle school dictionary included a paragraph stating that "1,200 Jewish settlers" were killed "in a series of Hamas attacks."

The government told Israel’s High Court of Justice it has no authority to compel a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 failures, citing separation of powers.

Michal Gadisman, who said she previously worked as a senior secretary for former minister Silvan Shalom, also testified, alleging he sexually assaulted her years ago. 

Opposition leaders said the legislation would create a "whitewash committee," allowing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to avoid taking responsibility for failures surrounding the attacks.

Kfir, his older brother Ariel, and his mother Shiri were all murdered by Hamas terrorists after being taken hostage on October 7. His father was the only survivor of the family.

'Never Again' was never intended as a ceremonial phrase, recited once a year and then set aside. It was meant as a warning.

Israel is more united than it has been in years. Numerous wars, missiles falling, and victorious battles have brought the people together in ways unimaginable just a few years ago.
