The remarks came amid recent reports that senior figures on Israel’s political right have been holding talks on forming a new “statesmanlike” right-wing party, informally referred to as “Likud B.”

The French envoy says Israel’s dismissal of allies and moderate voices is damaging long-term security.

"October 7 changed the whole map," Rosenberg said. "And after October 7, you follow it up with Mamdani, and there's a reason why antisemitism is up 182%. There's your answer right there."

The Left is turning on Jews in ways that have nothing to do with Israel.

The party said the alliance was born out of the understanding that the faith-based nationalist public in Israel currently "needs a strong political home." 

For a significant segment of the Right, there remains something more important than tribal loyalty – the common good of the country.

The initiative, informally described as “Likud B,” is being advanced by right-wing figures, many of whom have had strained relations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Activists, including Mordechai David, Rami Ben Yehuda, and Sheffi Paz, attempted to break into the south Tel Aviv venue, where hundreds of people, including Oct. 7 victims' relatives, attended.

The October Council, which organized the protest at Habima Square in Tel Aviv, noted that this year would mark "the third Remembrance Day without answers."

Israel must shed its siege mentality this Passover and embrace a mission-driven vision for its people and the world.
