Police say more than 50 women may have been victimized in the case, which emerged from a months-long covert investigation launched after complaints by two soldiers.

The 15-year-old gave a statement to police in Rishon Lezion, which included the suspect's name. The name has not been released to the public. 

"I filed a report with the police at the age of 17 against my father, who raped me," said one survivor. "The case was closed due to lack of evidence."

The case began after the girl’s absence from school triggered a report to the local child-protection council.

A report published on Tuesday by the UN Human Rights Office and the UN Support Mission said migrants are rounded up and abducted by criminal trafficking networks.

The police launched an investigation after a 19-year-old tourist arrived at a hospital in Jerusalem and reported to police she had been sexually assaulted. 

The men were convicted of gang rape, murder, attempt to murder, robbery, and extortion, with the court ordering imprisonment "till their last breath."

The Tel Aviv-based celebrity fitness trainer was released without an indictment after a year-long investigation.

His lawyer, Petar Sekulic, told Reuters he did not admit criminal guilt for the charges of rape or domestic violence, but did admit guilt for some of the less serious matters.
