Scientists identify nearby 'super-Earth' as promising candidate in search for alien life - study

NASA plans to launch the Habitable Worlds Observatory in the 2040s, a mission whose goal is “to image Earth-like planets around other sun-like stars,” according to NASA’s website.

TESS, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, is shown in this conceptual illustration obtained by Reuters on March 28, 2018.

Israeli scientist helps discover the universe's first stars - Cambridge study

Astrophysicists managed for the first time to statistically characterize the first galaxies in the universe.

The first full-color image from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, a revolutionary apparatus designed to peer through the cosmos to the dawn of the universe, shows the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, known as Webb’s First Deep Field, in a composite made from images at different wavelengths.

'Planet Killer' asteroid hidden in sun's glare

The asteroid in question, dubbed 2022 AP7, was first discovered in January 2022. It is quite large, likely over 1 kilometer in size.

Get ready stargazers - Jupiter will be closest to Earth on Monday in 59 years

At its closest approach, Jupiter will be approximately 367 million miles in distance from Earth, about the same distance it was in 1963.

This photo of Jupiter, taken from the Hubble Space Telescope on June 27, 2019, features the Great Red Spot, a storm the size of Earth that has been raging for hundreds of years.

Could we live on Saturn's moon? Research says maybe - study

Enceladus has an ice-covered water ocean that erupts into space, forming a plume. The researchers analyzed samples as the plumes erupted from cracks in the icy surface.

Could more of the Earth's surface be made habitable for humans? - study

According to a new study, it is possible that a change in Jupiter’s orbit could possibly make earth more hospitable than it is today.

With Earth and Jupiter at the same scale, it is graphically apparent that many of the cloud features are as large as continents on the Earth. Prepared for NASA by Stephen Paul Meszaros.
