Francesca Albanese

Albanese is a harsh critic of Israel and is campaigning in the European Union against the imposition of American sanctions on her and senior officials at the International Criminal Court.

The Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry published a brief that examined Albanese's conduct, calling it "fundamentally incompatible" with the responsibilities of her role.

In recent weeks, Germany, France, Italy, and others have called for Albanese to step down over her criticism of Israel. Albanese, an Italian lawyer, said the remarks were taken out of context.

Now, under that same UN banner, the world’s only Jewish state is being cast as a universal threat.

“We serve humanity. We are delivering justice for the most vulnerable victims around the world, for millions and millions of women and children who have no voice," one judge told the Guardian.

Her over-the-top antisemitic views seem to be an offshoot of her desire to please her Jew-hating supporters and benefactors, to the point where she even compared Israel to Nazi Germany.

The Secretary General's spokesperson explained that his team "doesn't agree with much of what she says, and wouldn't use the language that she uses to describe the situation in the region."
