Ben Yakar was assaulted on Monday morning. The Metropolitan Police told the Post that no arrests had been made by Monday night, but that the assault was being treated as an antisemetic hate crime.

The man, in his 20s, had to go to a hospital for injuries to his face and back.

Second assailant arrested in connection to vicious assault at DePaul University

Kasem Noubani, 24, appeared in court last week on counts of aggravated battery and two counts of a hate crime. The same charges were filed against the other attacker, who pleaded guilty in 2025.
