In anticipation of the Shavuot holiday, and while many businesses in the north are still coping with the consequences of the war and the security situation, Israir is launching a special initiative designed to grant them exposure – precisely at an altitude of 30,000 feet. As part of a new collaboration, passengers on selected flights of the company will receive during the flight wine and cheese tastings of local produce from two businesses from the Western Galilee: The "Teva Ez" dairy from Moshav Ben Ami and the Kishor winery from Kishorit Village.
Israir explains that the move is intended to strengthen businesses from the north that were harmed in recent months, and simultaneously to grant passengers an Israeli Shavuot experience with local flavors from the Galilee.
The Teva Ez dairy has been operating for more than 40 years and is considered one of the veteran businesses in the region, while the Kishor winery operates within the framework of Kishorit Village and combines wine production with the employment of people with special needs.
According to Israir, the collaboration integrates into social initiatives that the company has been promoting since the beginning of the war, out of an attempt to connect commercial activity with support for affected communities.
Hila Hermolin Ronen, VP of Marketing and Sales at Israir, stated that "The Shavuot holiday is an opportunity for us to embrace businesses in the north and give them a stage. We are proud to serve our passengers the produce of the Western Galilee and believe that every such connection strengthens mutual responsibility and the communities that operate with faith and love for the land."
