Four drones were shot down near Baghdad International Airport, head of the Security Media Cell (SMC), Lieutenant General Saad Maan, said on Wednesday.

"Four drones were shot down near Baghdad International Airport, without causing any material or human damage," Maan told the Iraqi News Agency.

Qatar intercepted a missile targeting the country, the Gulf nation announced on Wednesday morning. The statement comes as Iran continues to target its neighboring countries and US assets in the region amid the ongoing US and Israeli campaign against the Islamic regime in Tehran.

“The Defense Ministry of the State of Qatar announces that armed forces intercepted a missile attack which targeted the State of Qatar,” the ministry wrote on X/Twitter.

Additionally, a Reuters witness reported hearing the boom of the interception.

Four wounded after drones fall near Dubai airport

Additionally, on Wednesday, Dubai authorities confirmed that two drones fell near Dubai International Airport (DXB), wounding four people, the Dubai Media Office reported on X/Twitter.

The report stated that two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national sustained minor injuries, while one Indian national suffered moderate injuries.

Nevertheless, officials said air traffic at the airport is continuing to operate normally.

Later on Wednesday, Abu Dhabi's official media center reported that authorities in the capital controlled a fire that broke out at the city's "old airport, following [a] successful interception by air defense systems," in an incident that caused no injuries.

Bulk carrier hit by projectile near Dubai, crew safe

Separately, a bulk carrier was hit by an unknown projectile 50 nautical miles northwest of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations.

The crew is reported safe and well, and authorities are investigating, UKMTO said.

Bahrain redirects aircraft to alternative airports

Subsequently, Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs said it had coordinated the successful transfer of aircraft from Bahrain International Airport to alternative airports.

The authority said the repositioning was carried out to enhance operational readiness.

Oil storage facilities hit in Oman’s Salalah port, Ambrey and state TV say

Oil storage facilities were struck in Oman's Salalah port on Wednesday, British maritime security firm Ambrey said.

Drones struck fuel tanks in the port, Oman TV reported.

No damage to merchant vessels had been reported, Ambrey said.

Three vessels hit in Strait of Hormuz

Three vessels were hit by "unknown projectiles" in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday.

Mayuree Naree, a Thailand-flagged bulk carrier, was hit by two projectiles, which caused a fire and damage to the engine room, the carrier operator Precious Shipping announced.

Twenty members of the vessel's crew were evacuated to Oman while three were reported missing, Thailand's Transport Ministry stated.

The ministry said the crew had abandoned the vessel in a lifeboat and were rescued by the Omani navy. It said an explosion occurred in the stern of the ship and caused a fire in the engine compartment, where the remaining three crew members had been working.

The other two ships that sustained damage were the Japan-flagged container ship ONE Majesty, which is operated by Ocean Network Express, and bulk carrier Star Gwyneth, owned by Star Bulk Carriers, with crews on both vessels reported as safe, Iran International reported.
