Zionist Home-The Reservists Party chairman Chili Tropper formally ruled out joining a government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an X/Twitter post on Tuesday.

"We will not sit in a Netanyahu government," wrote Tropper, who further outlined his party's principles, saying it would seek to join a Zionist government while working to broaden the coalition.

In a July interview with 103FM, Tropper similarly said his party would not help form a government headed by Netanyahu.

He added that he would not join a coalition that depends on parties he does not consider Zionist.

During the interview, Tropper addressed his party's rise in the polls, the possibility of political alliances ahead of the elections, his relationship with Gadi Eisenkot, the question of evacuating communities in Judea and Samaria, and his criticism of the Religious Zionist Party.

Tropper said he had made his position on Netanyahu clear.

"I have not hidden my opinion of Netanyahu. I am not among those who hate or despise him, but everyone who was there on October 7 needs to finish their term," Tropper said.

He added that he would not provide Netanyahu with the 61 seats needed to secure a Knesset majority, arguing that such a government would rely on non-Zionist forces. "I cannot be part of such a coalition," Tropper said.

Tropper did not rule out political cooperation ahead of the elections, but said no concrete alliance was currently under discussion.

"If there are relevant alliances, we will join forces. I am not closing any door, but right now there is nothing specific on the table."

He also criticized the current government while discussing the type of coalition he would like to see, arguing that it "chose an alliance with the draft dodgers," while reservists continue to be sent to the front again and again.
