Just before chefs Yossi Shitrit and Haim Cohen meet on screen in the upcoming season of MasterChef, the two are launching a new collaboration both between themselves and with IKEA – the place where couples love to argue.
First of all, a reassuring siren – the iconic hot dog is still on the menu, and now we can talk about the surprising culinary connection, which goes by the name IKEA Chef and offers chef dishes at IKEA prices. Exciting, right?
The joint menu will be served in all IKEA stores, between the dates June 7–18, and in line with the IKEA concept – the most expensive dish on the menu will cost NIS 49 and the cheapest – NIS 10.
Among Cohen's dishes: Beef casserole in red wine, chickpeas, and penne pasta (NIS 49) and a tomato gazpacho salad and croutons (NIS 10).
From Shitrit's side will come a sea bass filet in pepper and olive sauce alongside bulgur with Mediterranean seasoning (NIS 49) and a Lalique and apple salad with puffed buckwheat (NIS 10).
The new dishes will be served alongside the establishment's regular menu, and if we may fantasize – we hope that the chain's next collaboration will be in the dessert department, because what is more fun than arguing on the way to the checkouts and then making up over a good cake?
IKEA Chef – the dishes of Haim Cohen and Yossi Shitrit will be served in IKEA restaurants across the country between the dates June 7–18
