Marselan Sheba, Binyamina Winery
The veteran Israeli winery celebrates Passover properly, despite (and perhaps precisely because of) these days, and with an impressive pouring collection as an answer to every family table.
From it, the Marselan from Binyamina’s Sheba series (NIS 85) stood out, a dry red wine based on grapes grown on the Gilboa mountain ridge and aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels. The result is deep and rich, touching on the worlds of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, and providing present fruitiness and aromatics. For the holiday main courses, and also long after them.
