If you're looking to make the most of the summer without battling traffic on the way to Ben Gurion Airport or spending thousands of shekels on an overseas vacation, the answer may be closer than you think. NIR DAVID Tourism has unveiled its 2026 summer program, featuring a wide range of family-friendly activities at its hospitality destinations in the Galilee, the Golan Heights and the Valley of Springs.
Running throughout July and August, the program combines nature, recreation and cultural experiences. Guests can enjoy lantern tours, guided stargazing sessions, arts and crafts workshops, circus performances, traditional wooden games, campfire evenings, taboon-baked pita making, outdoor yoga classes and night swimming.
At Ortal Country Lodging in the Golan Heights, weekend lantern tours will guide visitors through the kibbutz, while guided stargazing sessions at Mount Shifon will feature telescopes and dedicated viewing screens. During August, guests can also join workshops to create paper "wish stars," while visitors staying at the glamping complex can gather around evening bonfires and enjoy traditional Israeli campfire experiences.
Arts, Crafts and Outdoor Activities
At Layla Glamping, visitors can take part in arts and crafts workshops using clay and natural materials, followed by campfire evenings with freshly baked pita prepared in a traditional taboon oven. Guests will also receive discounted admission to tours at Park Hama'ayanot (Valley of Springs National Park) and Gan Garoo Australian Park. Night swimming at the Holzer Pool is expected to be introduced later this summer.
Families staying at Nofei Habashan Holiday Village in Kibbutz Lehavot Habashan can enjoy a packed schedule of activities throughout the season, including interactive circus performances featuring juggling and bubble-making, alongside a large wooden games festival with dozens of activity stations for children and adults alike.
At NIR DAVID Country Lodging, the emphasis is on nature and the unique atmosphere of kibbutz life. Weekly outdoor yoga sessions overlooking the stream will be offered, while guided Friday tours of the kibbutz will combine local history with creative family activities. Guests will also receive discounts on attractions throughout the region, with night swimming expected to be added later in the season.
According to NIR DAVID Tourism, the summer program is designed to offer guests more than accommodation alone by providing experiences that encourage visitors to explore the surrounding region, enjoy the outdoors and spend quality time together with family from morning through evening.
