The IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) have, in a joint statement on Sunday, unmasked five Hamas terrorists who have been directing "military actions" in Israel and the West Bank from Turkey.
Salam Yaish, Walid Abu Nasser, Majed Ja'aba, Muhammad Mallah, and Ayman Sharawna have been overseeing recruitment for individuals willing to carry out terror attacks and smuggling weapons and funds into the region.
IDF kills terrorists who oversaw transfer of over NIS 1b. to Hamas’s military wing
The IDF last week killed two terrorists who headed a massive financial network for Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the military announced on Sunday morning.
The two, Hussein Qadra and Mohammed Farra, were members of he military wings of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
Qadra, who headed the network, worked with Farra and other terrorists to facilitate the transfer of more than half a billion NIS to Hamas’ military wing through a network of couriers and money exchangers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip.
Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance, the IDF said.
