Highway 1 toward Ma’aleh Adumim from Jerusalem has reopened after being closed to traffic following a bus fire near the Az-Za'ayyem Crossing, Israel Police announced on Monday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, six people were injured in a car accident between three vehicles on Highway 92 near the Sea of Galilee.

Two people in their 20s were airlifted to Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa in serious condition, while MDA evacuated a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy in moderate condition, and two others lightly injured, to Tzafon Medical Center (Poriya) near Tiberias.

"We saw two vehicles, one in the middle of the road and the other in a ditch on the side of the road. A young woman, about 20 years old, was lying on the road unconscious, with injuries to her head and limbs."

"We provided her with medical treatment, including anesthesia and ventilation," the two said. "They were evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital, where they continued to receive medical treatment.

"We evacuated the rest of the injured from the scene to the hospital, fully conscious and in stable condition."
