A 28-year-old man is in serious condition after being struck by a train at Ra’anana South Station on Tuesday afternoon, according to Magen David Adom.
MDA personnel responded to the scene of the incident and provided first aid before transferring the man to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, where he is being treated for multiple internal injuries.
According to a Maariv report, the man walked onto the train tracks before he was struck.
Train traffic between Herzliya, Ra’anana, and Kfar Saba Nordau Train Station was temporarily halted by police after the incident, according to Maariv.
Israel Railways Eastern Rail Line began service on Sunday
Israel Railways announced last week that its new Eastern Rail Line began partial operations on Sunday.
The newly opened section of the railway included three new stations: Hadera East, Shomron - Tayyiba, and Kokhav Yair - Tira.
