Mamdani condemns ICE agents shooting New York man

Earlier this month, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani condemned the shooting of a man by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in a post on X/Twitter, calling for ICE agents to be removed from the city.

The shooting occurred at around 4 p.m. ET in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, the NYPD said.

An NYPD spokesperson said the agents involved in the shooting were part of DHS, the parent agency for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol agencies, among others, and that federal authorities were investigating.
