When education meets entrepreneurship and sustainability: Students at Ayanot Youth Village develop natural spa products that are sold around the world.

At the end of the school year, Ayanot Youth Village concludes another year of activity as part of the "Tevayanot" (Nature-Ayanot), a unique social-educational initiative that combines high school students with students with special needs in the development, production and marketing of natural care products under the Es-Sense brand.

As part of the project, participants learn agriculture, research and development, applied chemistry, entrepreneurship and marketing, while gaining hands-on experience in every stage of production – from growing plants and extracting raw materials to packaging and branding.

Some of the products were even developed as part of students’ matriculation projects and are marketed in Israel and around the world.

Among the products developed this year are massage candles based on natural butters and oils, massage bars, handmade olive oil soaps produced using the cold process method, and air fresheners with natural fragrances selected by the students.

All products are made from natural raw materials while maintaining traditional manufacturing methods and high-quality standards.

Behind the Es-Sense brand is a social vision that seeks to integrate young people, including individuals with disabilities, into the worlds of creativity and employment through the production of natural care products.

The brand’s products are currently marketed in approximately 20 countries around the world, and the project operates as an independent economic model based on product quality and business activity.

At Ayanot Youth Village, the initiative is viewed as an example of combining education, innovation, sustainability and social involvement – providing students with professional skills and practical experience during their studies, alongside the opportunity to influence and create products with real value.

Ahead of the Tisha B’Av Fast

During the Three Weeks period, and especially ahead of the Ninth of Av fast, many people traditionally reduce or avoid eating meat.

Accordingly, demand is increasing for satisfying and nutritious meals based on plant-based protein, and the range of meat alternatives continues to expand.

If you are looking for a meat alternative during this period, here are two new products worth getting to know:

It is also built for real life, going from freezer to family dinner in about five minutes, whether in a pan, the oven or an air fryer.

The company's products are already sold in thousands of retail locations and served in hundreds of restaurants across the United States and Israel. Chunk's products are available across Israel at Rami Levy, Carrefour, Tiv Taam, Victory, AM:PM, Keshet Teamim, Nitzat HaDuvdevan and other retailers, as well as in restaurants around the country.

Dr. Ben Zion Peleg, an expert in complementary medicine, describes in his new book "Utz Li Marpe" ("Advise me on a remedy") how personal events led him to leave a career of approximately 24 years at Israel Aerospace Industries and pursue alternative medicine.

The turning point was his daughter Reut’s chronic bronchitis, which did not find a solution through conventional medicine, alongside a personal experience in which a prolonged skin problem of his own was quickly resolved following alternative diagnosis and treatment.

These experiences motivated him to study nutrition, essential oils, reflexology, Chinese medicine and homeopathy.

In his book, Peleg combines his life story – from his childhood as a refugee during World War II to the new career he built – alongside dozens of treatment cases that, according to him, demonstrate his approach to complementary medicine.

According to him, the book is based on decades of experience and on an extensive manuscript he wrote about illnesses and unconventional treatment methods.

Tax Refunds Worth Thousands of Shekels: You May Also Be Entitled to Money from the State

Many Israelis are unaware that they may be entitled to tax refunds worth thousands of shekels.

Changes in employment, reserve military service, childbirth, life insurance payments or changes in personal and family circumstances may create eligibility for a refund from the Israel Tax Authority.

Naor Habura, who has been working in the tax refund field for 16 years, helps clients check their eligibility and submit refund requests in a simple and digital process.

According to him, the eligibility check is carried out free of charge, and payment is collected only if an actual refund is received.

Based on my personal experience, I used Habura’s services and received tax refunds twice that I had not even known I was eligible for.

The funds were received after a professional review revealed eligibility that I had not known about, making this a personal recommendation based on real experience.

According to data presented by Naor, the average refund for his clients stands at approximately NIS 8,500.

In some cases, refunds can also be received for previous years, depending on the Israel Tax Authority’s criteria.

This also applies in cases where tax reports have already been submitted to the Income Tax Authority, whether by employees or self-employed individuals.

According to him, many people give up on checking their eligibility simply because they assume they have no chance of receiving a refund.

However, in practice, a short review may reveal refunds they are entitled to receive from the state.

For more information and an eligibility check, contact Naor Habura by phone:
