After Hanoi, Arkia will begin flying directly to an additional destination in Vietnam: From this coming October, the company will fly to the city of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), this in light of the high demand from the Israeli public for destinations in Vietnam.

The new destination will join the company's direct route to Hanoi launched this year and will allow Israeli travelers to build a convenient and flexible travel itinerary in Vietnam, including entry through Hanoi and exit from Saigon, or vice versa.

The company will operate two weekly flights to Vietnam: The flights to Saigon will take off from Tel Aviv on Thursdays and return from Saigon on Saturday nights, in addition to the flights to Hanoi departing from Tel Aviv on Tuesdays. The price on the website: 1,498 dollars with a child's bag only. For a suitcase (for both directions) you will need to add another 220 dollars, meaning starting from 1,718 dollars for a round–trip, without seat selection.

Vietnam has become in recent years one of the most requested destinations among the Israeli public, thanks to the combination between rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, a special urban landscape and diverse and excellent local cuisine.

The opening of the new route is part of the ongoing implementation of the company's strategic plan to expand Arkia's international operations in the Far East and broaden its range of long-haul destinations.

Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), the largest and most vibrant city in Vietnam, is considered one of the requested destinations in the country thanks to the unique combination between rich local culture, modern skyscrapers, vibrant nightlife and street culinary among the best in Asia. The city combines between a young and energetic urban vibe and traditional markets, local cafes and a particularly diverse food scene, which has made it in recent years one of the prominent culinary destinations in the Far East.
