The main inventory that will be offered for sale consists of refurbished products (Refurbished) and devices from previous technological generations.
Regarding equipment of the technology giant from Cupertino, it is important to understand the exact definition of the devices offered. The meaning of "refurbished" in the case of Apple is that these are devices that were returned from customers – whether due to regret after purchase, a malfunction discovered at an early stage or some defect – and underwent full repair and reinspection in the company's laboratories. This process is intended to ensure that the device reaches the next consumer in completely proper condition and meets the strict technical standards, even though it is not considered "brand new".
The price list published ahead of the event reflects the combination between the VAT exemption in Eilat and the inherent depreciation in refurbished products and models that are not at the forefront of the current technology. For example: The MacBook Air model with M2 processor (8GB/256GB), whose original price was set at NIS 3,399, will be offered at NIS 999. The iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB storage will be sold at NIS 1,799 compared to a previous price of NIS 4,299, and MacBook Pro 14 with M4 processor will be offered at NIS 2,299.
To provide a protection envelope for the purchase of the previously-used devices, at iDigital it is noted that the chain grants them a six-month warranty. However, it should be emphasized that the sale is limited to a short time and is conditional on the existing stock at the Eilat branch only. According to the chain's announcement, the quantity of units is limited and sometimes these are individual items of each model, which makes the event one intended mainly for those who are willing to compromise on a previous technological generation in exchange for a reduced price.
