The gaming mouse market has reached a certain technological saturation in recent years, with most manufacturers focusing mainly on weight reduction and increasing DPI. Now, Logitech is trying to break the stagnation with the launch of the G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE in Israel – a mouse that emphasizes reducing the click latency itself, the metric that determines how much time passes from the physical click until the command is actually executed on the screen.

At the heart of the new model is SUPERSTRIKE technology. Unlike standard mice that use micro-switches (mechanical or optical switches), this model incorporates a system based on an inductive analog sensor. This system, called HITS, replaces the familiar mechanism and allows the mouse to detect clicks with more precise timing. According to the company, using this technology reduces latency by up to 30 milliseconds, a significant figure for competitive players accustomed to playing on local area network (LAN) servers and seeking the same level of responsiveness at home.

Customizing the Click Point

Beyond raw speed, the shift to an analog sensor allows versatility not possible with standard switches. Users can set the actuation distance of the primary buttons through the software from 10 different levels. This means the click can register with a light touch (Rapid trigger) or only with a deeper press, depending on each user’s unique gaming style. To compensate for the lack of traditional mechanical feel, Logitech added haptic feedback that gives a physical confirmation at the finger when the signal is sent to the computer.

In terms of physical design, Logitech took no unnecessary risks and retained the familiar Superlight 2 design. The mouse weighs only 61 grams, a weight considered standard in the Ultra-light category, which should ensure comfort during extended use and fast movements on the surface without extra effort.

Technical Specifications and Availability

Under the hood is the HERO 2 sensor, offering a tracking speed of 888 IPS and accuracy up to 44,000 DPI. Wireless connectivity is based on the LIGHTSPEED protocol with an 8kHz reporting rate, designed to prevent interference in environments crowded with wireless devices. Battery life stands at about 90 hours of continuous use, allowing long periods without charging.

The G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE will be available for pre-order at KSP, and will reach other selected stores during the next week. The recommended retail price is NIS 849.
